{Casey +Brandon} |Engaged

Casey and I were both roommates & servers at a local restaurant during our college years. She is hilarious. I just love a person who enjoys life like she does. Meet Brandon, the man of her dreams... he is a sweetheart too. They got engaged a little over a month ago and are head over heels for each other. It was so fun spending the evening catching up and watching them climb trees, swing & just be in love :) Congrats you two I am so happy for you.

The title of this picture should be "follow me", leading her into a life of adventure!

Sometimes the best times are when you just watch the clouds and dream about life.

Then the rest of the time it's just nice to be around that person you love, your best friend, and know that whether you're smiling, sitting, hugging or just simply being that it's always alright to be yourself.

We were laughing because I didn't have my zoom lens on so their eyeballs were practically inside of my camera.

Then we were off to the park. Casey grew up in this neighborhood so it was special to her to take their engagements on this side of town.

{Adnana +Selvedin} |Wedding

Dancing, laughing, champagne toasts, limos...this was a fairy tale wedding. Lets not skip ahead though, let's start at the beginning.

Img_0603-2
Pulling up to the bride's parent's house dozens of cars lined the streets. Colored fabric was tied on each car's side mirror waving in the breeze. Little kids played in the front yard and the house was bustling with activity. Everyone was here...uncles, aunts, cousins... I headed upstairs where the bride and her sisters were finishing getting ready. There was an undeniable energy that was contagious.

The clock hit 2:45 and the house cleared out, everyone rallied in front of the house waiting for the official tradition of when the bride gets handed off to the groom. One by one the bridesmaids followed by the bride came down the staircase. Her dad was waiting at the bottom of the stairs and sweetly kissed her cheek. Then the doorbell started ringing, the excitement grew as people started cheering. The best man was at the front door waiting to take Adnana to her groom. As soon as she stepped out the front door an eruption of cheers and clapping led to her being handed off to her husband to be. They took off in the limo followed by the precession of cars honking their horns.

The rest of the night was just as much of a heartfelt celebration as the beginning of it. I felt like part of this amazing Bosnian family even though I was just the photographer. Such a beautiful, amazing couple and they were surrounded by so many who loved them. What a phenomenal night...congratulations Adnana and Selvedin!

Climbing fences, climbing tractors & blazing trails through tall grass were all part of her "Country" themed shoot. From Eagle to Hidden Springs we drove around listening to Country Music and chatting about life. Sara's sweet smile & bright blue eyes made taking pictures of her a joy.
What a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday night in Boise. Thank you girls for joining the country adventure!

{L+H} |Family

Labor day weekend was beautiful in Boise. I was sitting on the couch checking my email when I saw a message asking if I could do family photos...in a couple of hours! Yes, yes I would love to.
So that evening I found myself at the Rose Garden, which I have never been to by the way, and was greeted by the beautiful, happy, Leon family.
From the 9 month old Hazel, who didn't like standing on the grass (see below)...

to the Grandma and Grandpa in the family, who judging by this photo, are still very in love!

Great Grandma and her grandchildren, I love the warm lighting in this shot!

Half of the entertainment during the shoot was trying to get Hazel to look at the camera. Behind me there were adults dancing around, making noises, laughing and shaking her baby rattle trying to get her attention!

Someone commented on this photo saying that it looks like you are being invited to the enchanted land behind them. Oh that's just Boise, but yes very enchanting!

What a beautiful family :)

Between mini-photo shoots Kylie and Noah were rocking this hand-clap which reminded me of how I LOVED handclaps when I was younger.

Annie's Mini Session

She is not only the sweetest person you will ever meet but oh my goodness look at those eyes! We had a great time during our mini session and I look forward to doing her photos for her CD cover in the near future!
